Global digital cooperation
WSIS Forum
How Tanzania engages in the World Summit on the Information Society — showcasing national ICT programmes, contributing to WSIS+20, and advancing inclusive digital development.

About the WSIS Forum
The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) is the United Nations process that guides how ICTs advance development, inclusion and human rights. Through the annual WSIS Forum convened by the ITU, governments, industry, academia and civil society review progress, share solutions and align with the Sustainable Development Goals. Tanzania participates actively under the leadership of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
Tanzania at WSIS
Tanzania uses the WSIS platform to showcase national digital programmes — including JamiiStack, e-government services, connectivity and digital skills — and to contribute to the WSIS+20 review of two decades of information-society outcomes. High-level delegations have represented the United Republic in Geneva and related forums, presenting people-centred approaches to digital transformation.
